About the Artist
For Marilyn Osborne, art was her first love. Long before she built a career in finance, operations, and compliance. As a young girl, she would create drawings and paintings and sell them to her mother, unknowingly beginning a lifelong journey of creative expression. While her professional world is rooted in structure- centered on strategy, data, and transformation- art remains her soul’s counterbalance: an intuitive, emotional outlet and a source of grounding.
An Air Force brat born in Germany, Marilyn spent her early years living across the globe- including time in Turkey, the Gulf Coast of Mississippi, Florida, Alaska, and Texas- before returning to her deep Southern roots. A seventh-generation New Orleanian, she now calls Louisiana home, where she continues to draw inspiration from the region’s vibrant culture, natural beauty, and complex history.
Marilyn’s artistic lineage runs deep. Her maternal grandfather, Murvan M. Maxell, was an acclaimed architect, while her paternal grandfather, Harry B. Tipton, worked in oils and pastels. Their creative spirits live on in her work, which blends inherited tradition with personal exploration.
Also a nationally qualified NPC bodybuilder, MBA, and certified program leader (PMP, DASM, Prosci), Marilyn brings a disciplined, intentional approach to her creative practice. Her art reflects the harmony between logic and instinct, legacy and innovation- a visual expression of a life lived at the intersection of contrast and connection.
